Job Details
We are seeking a Senior GIS Application Developer to support an Enterprise Wide IT GIS Environment with over multiple applications and hundreds of daily users. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS applications, integrations, related web map services and optimization of applications on all platforms.
Position Responsibilities
- Design and develop GIS solutions that adhere to programming best practices.
- Create and maintain integrations to external applications.
- Support implementation and maintenance of Enterprise wide ESRI GIS environment.
- Develop customized database programs to enhance COTS products
- Perform unit testing to validate solutions; assist with user acceptance testing
- Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to production.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues.
- Follow service level agreements (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget.
- Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendors.
- Work with COTS vendors to support, maintain and upgrade applications.
- Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM.
Position Requirements
Over 12 years of related professional experience with core focus in providing GIS Application Development expertise.
- Expertise in the creation of GIS Architecture and design documentation including support documentation and update of existing documentation.
- Experience leading teams related to GIS business applications and platforms
- Expertise in providing code updates and ability to design, develop, test and release GIS release cycle.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional application specifications using contemporary best practices.
- Ability to identify opportunities to offer an improved experience to users by developing a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and functions.
- Excellent communication, documentation and problem solving skills.
