Advance Services is accepting resumes for a seed lab position located in Ames, IA.
Receiving Samples & Sample Prep
Preparing seed and leaf tissue for DNA extraction. Putting individual seeds into sample plates, checking material for quality, using grinders to process seeds into flour. Adding chemical buffer to sample plates with machinery. Unloading consumables (sample plates, tips for machines, chemicals etc.) from pallets and moving them into lab spaces. Un-packaging consumables from boxes. Discarding unused seed materials. Work in a lab environment; would follow safe working criteria, routinely review safety procedures. You must wear PPE, such as safety glasses, a lab coat, gloves, wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and mask on occasions.
- Bachelor's degree
- Lab exp. Required
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Monday to Friday.
- Pay is $18 an hour.
