Overview
The Business Analyst will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and assisting with the development of strategies and solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall business performance.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and technical specifications for new projects or system enhancements.
- Process Analysis: Evaluate existing business processes and workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements or automation opportunities.
- Solution Design: Work with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, and management) to develop solutions that meet business needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Data Analysis: Analyze business data and KPIs to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams to ensure understanding and alignment on project objectives.
- Project Support: Assist in project planning and management, ensuring that requirements are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of new solutions, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and addressing issues as they arise.
- Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and training materials.
- Change Management: Support the implementation of new solutions by assisting with change management efforts, including training, user adoption, and post-implementation support.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor the success of implemented solutions and recommend adjustments or enhancements to improve business outcomes.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar).
- Experience with ERP systems or specific industry software.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of change management strategies and frameworks.
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with business process modeling, process improvement, and system analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau), and database management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
