Advance Health and Community Services (advancehealthcs.com) offers a wide range of outpatient programs in a therapeutic and clinical setting. Such services include psychological screenings and assessments, individual and family counseling, co-parenting, psychiatric consultations, medication management, group counseling, supervised therapeutic visitations, client advocacy, and case management. Please note that AHCS, as stated above, is community-based, and many of our services are provided by telehealth. The therapist position is a contracted per diem, and we offer gas and cash incentives. Our main office is in Pembroke Pines, but we service adults and children in both Miami Dade County and Broward. Our agency is looking to hire therapists that can service Miami Dade and Broward County. Duties : Therapist position, which allows for flexible hours, include the following duties : Assess patient's mental status and psychosocial history and needs by interviewing patients; obtaining personal information and medical history; consulting with other professionals; in home / office individual and family psychotherapy; complete clinical documentation in a timely manner. Designs and implements treatment goals by evaluating patient's willingness to change; setting treatment objectives; tailoring approach to patient's needs; consulting with other professionals; providing individual and family psychotherapy, crisis intervention and / or utilizing various treatment modalities; providing information regarding community-based organizations and social services; completing treatment plans and discharge plans. Educates individuals and family members by advising on the most appropriate and helpful roles they can fulfill in the treatment process; treating relationship issues. Maintains patient records by following protocols; entering and updating data; maintaining case history and progress notes. Protects mental health center's value by keeping patient information confidential; adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. Skills / Qualifications : Current state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or similar qualification. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Previous experience working with children in a therapeutic setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices for children. Passion for working with children and their families to improve mental health and well-being.
