The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Journalism, communications or related field preferred
- Minimum two years journalism experience with a proven ability in reporting and writing
- Skilled at building, maintaining and engaging an active audience
- Proven ability to work independently under deadline pressure and prioritize tasks appropriately, handling complex assignments
- Demonstrated solid reporting, writing and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of news writing, journalistic ethics, headline writing and story structure
- Expertise in capitalizing on high-value topics by engaging audiences in frequency and urgency
- Reliable transportation. This job requires the ability to meet with sources and cover events.
- Ability to work remotely
Salary : $53,000 - $60,000
