Welcome to Advance Plumbing & Heating Supply Company, a fourth-generation family owned and operated business, started in 1920. The company's original location was at 2984 Grand River Ave. in Detroit, across from the Motor City Casino. On October 31st, 2016 we moved to our new location at 150 Parsons St. in Midtown Detroit. The new state-of-the-art location features the City of Detroit's first ever Decorative Plumbing Showroom which opened in winter of 2018.
In 1990, with a solid reputation for excellence and an expanding market, Advance opened up a second location in Walled Lake, Michigan which features a state-of-the-art 5,000-square foot decorative plumbing showroom and an outstanding plumbing & heating parts counter.
What You’ll Do :
The Accounting and Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the consistent management and allocation of accounts, financial statements and tax data.
Some Duties May Include :
- Reconciliation of banking activity for all accounts on a daily and monthly basis
- Ongoing cash management and maintenance, including oversight and management of vendor payments and other cash obligations
- Projection Analysis for both AR & AP functions
- Various bookkeeping for all entities (Operating, Holding, E-Commerce, etc.)
- Maintenance and coordination of tax correspondence with various tax authorities
- Preparation of various monthly and annual tax filing in coordination with external accounting firm
- Monitor fixed asset schedules
- Conduct monthly / quarterly financial statement preparations with profit analysis
- Identify and resolve any issues with financial information entering and flowing through internal database
- Ensuring optimal usage of financial information within all business operations
- Evolving corporate structure within small business environment
