Join our Advanced Programs team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and lead development and optimization of IT product manufacturing processes. From computers and printers to monitors and peripherals, you will play a key role in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
What You’ll Do:
- Innovate: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for IT products, focusing on assembly, testing, and quality control.
- Improve: Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and elevate product quality.
- Implement Advanced Technologies: Integrate automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 to transform our production capabilities.
- Collaborate: Partner with R&D, product design, and supply chain teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to production.
- Optimize Costs: Drive cost-saving strategies that maintain high-quality standards without compromising lead times.
- Solve Complex Problems: Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
- Partner with Suppliers: Work closely with suppliers to ensure the highest standards in materials and components.
What You Bring:
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in manufacturing processes for IT products and a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Innovation Mindset: Familiarity with advanced automation technologies, robotics, and Industry 4.0 to stay ahead of the curve.
- CAD Proficiency: Skilled in process design using CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Collaboration Skills: Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, thriving in cross-functional environments.
Experience:
- 7 years in manufacturing engineering, ideally within IT hardware sectors (computers, printers, monitors). A bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent experience is required. An associates or technical degree with applicable experience can be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
- Proven success in large-scale, complex manufacturing projects.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced manufacturing software.
- Security Clearance is a plus.

The likely salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, API considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
