Summary: As a Systems Administrator at API, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the organization’s network infrastructure, and integrated IT systems. Ensure network and systems reliability, security, performance, and provide technical support to end-users. You will help develop and maintain cybersecurity standards and baselines to ensure industry regulations are adhered to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: other duties may be assigned as needed.
· Perform tasks, projects, and assignments as requested by IT Services Director.
· Install and configure internal and internet facing network devices.
· Proactively manage and maintain network devices, systems, and services to maximize network performance.
· Assist in the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of server infrastructure.
· Develop technical documentation as it relates to network and systems architecture.
· Optimize internal network design to promote a strong network security posture.
· Design/troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, including VLANs and subnets.
· Monitor system resource utilization for trending reports and capacity planning.
· Provide phone/desktop support for end-users as needed.
· Provide after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies as well as off-hour maintenance as needed.
· Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
· Work with hardware/software vendors on escalated technical issues.
· Assist in the development and on-going maintenance of the company System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs)
· Construct relevant technology policies to ensure CUI and CMMC compliance.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 7 years related experience, or equivalent training, experience, and certification.
Desired Certifications:
· Net , Sec , MSCE, CCNA, CCNP, VCP etc.
Advanced Technical Skills Needed:
· Strong understanding of network protocols.
· Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
· VMWare/ESXi
· Intune (MDM, MAM, CAP, DLP, etc.)
· Azure AD / O365
· Firewalls, wireless controllers, switches, and other networking devices
· Disaster recovery, intrusion prevention, data loss prevention, email security
· Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
· Microsoft PowerShell, HTML, and other scripting languages
· Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies
· Familiar with NIST 800-171 compliance requirements
