Job Description:
We are looking for a Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team at Advance Spine and Rehab Center. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a welcoming and professional experience while assisting our chiropractic team with clinical tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Receptionist Duties:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic’s calendar.
- Verify patient information, including insurance details, and assist with billing questions. Case manage files.
- Ensure that all necessary forms are completed prior to appointments and that patient records are updated.
- Direct patients to appropriate areas within the clinic and assist with any questions or concerns.
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely check-in/check-out.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding treatment options and office policies.
Medical Assistant Duties:
- Prepare patients for chiropractic treatments by explaining procedures and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Assist the chiropractor during patient exams and treatments, including performing soft tissue work, stretching, or other therapeutic activities.
- Help patients with rehabilitation exercises and ensure they are performed safely and correctly.
- Administer physical modalities such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, or ultrasound therapy, as directed by the chiropractor.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with patient education on home exercises and rehabilitation strategies.
- Document patient progress and treatments in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Sterilize equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with patient follow-up calls, appointment reminders, and satisfaction surveys.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related healthcare certification preferred.
- Prior experience in a front desk or customer service role; experience in a chiropractic or rehab setting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of chiropractic care, rehabilitation exercises, or physical therapy is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with WebPT and Dr Chronos systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and patient confidentiality.
- Must be able to commute to both clinics located at 11418 S Western Ave and 2649 N Laramie Ave, Chicago, IL.
