Supply Specialist
Position Summary: 100% In office position, Customer Service Call Center environment -. Responds promptly to customer needs by taking and fulfilling orders. Responds to requests for service and assistance. Manages difficult or emotional customer situations. Listens intently and responds in a positive manner to all requests and questions. The position requires excellent customer relation skills, the ability to think critically and communicate well with our customers both internal and external.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive phone and email orders from new/existing customers
- Enter all consumable orders using multiple computer and software program
- Place and fulfill orders in a time sensitive manner
- Research any questions and follow up with clients and vendors as necessary
- Check inventory control and notify stock control departments of orders that would deplete stock
- Routes orders to departments for filling and follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates
- Compute price, discount and shipping charges
- Edit orders received for price and nomenclature
- Initiate purchase requisitions
- Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments
- Prepare invoices and shipping documents
- Engage in active listening with callers, confirm or clarify information and diffuse angry clients, as needed
- Participate in on-going training, coaching and development programs / classes
- Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management
- Basic understanding of mathematical calculations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- High School graduate GED
- Industry experience preferred
- 1-2 years previous customer service/call center experience highly preferred
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem Solving – Proactively identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong self-motivator with ability to works independently, yet a great team player
- Intermediate computer knowledge *MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
