Overview
We are seeking a traveling full time Medical Assistant/Receptionist for our Tarentum, Monroeville, and Butler location. We are fast-paced specialist office. Must have excellent interpersonal skills (both in person and on the phone). Ability to learn and oversee all aspects of the front and back office. The Medical Assistant will primarily room patients, patient tirage, and cross train to work the front desk! Computer friendly. Experienced with EMR and paper charts. Desired hire must be professional, dependable, flexible, able to multitask. Clear communication with doctors and other staff is imperative. Experience with insurances required.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and testing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper coding for billing purposes.
- Provide education to patients regarding their treatment plans and medication usage, including inhalation therapies when necessary.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Support the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient service.
- Record vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Must be willing to travel to outside offices when needed!
- Familiarity with coding systems relevant to medical billing practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency in coding for medical billing purposes.
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately.
- Understanding of emergency medicine protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
