AAC is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple technical projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed efficiently and effectively. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, designers, vendor/suppliers and stakeholders, to define project requirements, create schedules, allocate resources, and track progress. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
** This position will be worked on a hybrid/remote schedule (2-3 days per week ON-SITE in Glen Rock, NJ) **
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of technical projects from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
- Identify and allocate resources required for project execution.
- Manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders regularly.
- Conduct project reviews and retrospectives to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Conduct business analysis and evaluate stakeholder requirements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role, managing complex technical projects from initiation to closure.
- Experience managing retail related projects, such as provisioning POS solutions, digital menu boards, customer self-checkouts, time clocks and software enhancements or implementations.
- Experience with business process improvement projects, Service level agreements, and IT support methodologies.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and shifting priorities.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and multi-tasking abilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders whether on-site or virtual.
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Proggio).
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related site visits, meetings, or team collaboration sessions.
