What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chiropractic Assistant For Newark, DE Office Needed position at Advanced Back & Neck Pain Center?
We are a chiropractic office in the Newark, DE area looking for a full time Chiropractic Assistant. We offer our patients chiropractic treatment, various physical therapy modalities, and in office therapeutic massage. We’re looking for a candidate preferably with experience in the field, but it is not required for the right person. The most important qualities we’re looking for in a potential hire are having a positive attitude, being outgoing, the ability to multi-task, solid work ethic, and creativity in approaching their work with the perfect candidate always striving to find better, more efficient methods of completing a task. It's also critical that you are comfortable speaking to/interacting with lots of people during the course of the day, either in person or over the phone.
There are duties that this position will require; here are some examples of what to expect:
- Warm, friendly personality; a “people person”
- Familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Office & Windows applications especially Word & Excel
- Helping patients perform exercises and use in office equipment
- Working within our in office software to schedule, track and bill patients
- Contacting patients via phone, email and/or text in order to schedule appointments or rescheduled missed appointments
- Collecting patient payments
- Setting patients up with various physical therapy treatments including cryotherapy, cold laser and interferential therapy
- Obtaining patient records from other facilities
- Performing exams and re-exams; orthopedic testing, ROM assessments, taking clinical histories, etc.
- Consulting with patients regarding finances, delinquent bills, insurance, etc.
- Creating patient reports and compiling data into patient exam findings
- Keeping up to date with in house documentation and records, scanning/filing patient records
- Developing marketing campaigns and in office promotions
- Tracking marketing campaigns and developing statistics to determine return on investment
- In house cleaning and upkeep including vacuuming, trash removal, windows, wiping down tables, cleaning bathroom, hanging posters/banners, dusting, etc.
The ideal candidate for this position would be someone with an interest in health who has experience working hands on in a medical field. A background in anatomy and physiology, as well as Microsoft Office products are desired as well.
