Job Overview
As a Janitorial Supervisor at Sutter Health Park, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall maintenance of the arena. You will lead and manage a team of janitorial staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of union janitorial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management for 15-40 employees.
- Oversee and ensure the proper execution of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal, and use of equipment, including gas blowers, floor scrubber, and pressure washers.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that cleaning protocols are being followed and the facility is maintained to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and address any concerns or requests.
- Identify building maintenance needs and coordinate both daily and annual cleaning projects to meet operational standards.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent cleaning situations as they arise.
- Provide clear communication to both staff and management regarding updates, issues, and performance feedback.
- Monitor and enforce safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or the Advanced team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or commercial cleaning industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of janitorial best practices, cleaning techniques, and equipment usage.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage schedules, tasks, and supplies.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick decisions in dynamic situations.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to janitorial work.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Additional Position Details
- Location: 400 Ballpark Dr. West Sacramento, CA
- This position will primarily operate during overnight hours throughout the baseball season.
- Responsible for overseeing the overnight post-event stadium cleaning and managing the post-event cleaning team.
