MACHINE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
An extrusion machine operator prepares machinery for use, performs maintenance and runs controls in compliance with regulations and supervisor’s directives. They maintain and fix equipment, test machinery against specific requirements and record, review and preserve records of the machines. They work with a team to take care of issues that arise, perform quality checks, keep archives for quality control, and keep equipment clean.
Specific work tasks:
- Operator will demonstrate the ability to operate rewind pedestal controls independently.
- Operator will demonstrate ability to load/unload/operate shrink wrap table independently.
- Operator will demonstrate ability to independently operate a mechanical hoist to load raw materials on a mezzanine.
- Operator will demonstrate the ability to independently tag (sound/gray filter) fabric for continuous production.
- Operator will demonstrate ability to independently splice double-sided tape rolls for continuous production.
- Operator will demonstrate the ability to prepare ink bottles, ensuring bottles, caps and nozzles are not leaking.
- Operator will demonstrate ability to operate line cutoff saw independently.
- Operator will demonstrate ability to operate clicker press and archive samples.
- Operator will take forklift training. *As needed and If applicable*
- Operator will demonstrate ability to Start Up and Operate the Atom Press.
- Operator will demonstrate the ability to prepare cores for rolled goods. Operator will demonstrate ability to backfill and replenish cores for the next shift.
- Operator will demonstrate the ability to prepare felt rolls for continuous production. Operator will demonstrate the ability to backfill and replenish felt rolls for the next shift.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
