Job Summary: The Store Operations Associate is responsible
for ensuring the smooth operation of the store by performing a variety of tasks
related to store opening and closing, customer service, inventory management,
and general maintenance. This role requires a proactive individual who can
handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and provide excellent service to
customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Open and close the store, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
Start up computers and ensure all systems are functioning properly.
Call on will-call orders and manage customer inquiries.
Count the previous day’s cash drawer and prepare deposits accurately.
Send end-of-day reports, with potential changes to printing in Brainerd.
Assist customers in finding products and handling sales transactions.
Provide support for print, fax, and email jobs, which constitute a significant portion of daily activities.
Monitor inventory levels and identify items that need to be ordered, assisting Shayne with the ordering process.
Manage inventory, including labeling, checking stock, verifying stock, and putting away stock.
Create and maintain window displays and update signage/headers as needed.
Handle UPS drop-offs and processes efficiently.
Send the usage sheet to Accounts Payable.
Perform snow removal, mopping of the store floor, dishwashing, and water cooler refills as needed.
Change furnace filters and empty the central vacuum system.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with store systems.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as snow removal and mopping.
Working Conditions:
This role may require standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks.
Ability to lift 50 lbs or move heavy items to a cart (required for copy paper and UPS).
