The High Voltage Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the direction, training, and administration of General and Subcontractors, and providing leadership and guidance to the field management team. The Manager communicates regularly with the Project Manager and Subcontractor Divisions regarding projects, project timelines, and project startups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with the Project Manager and subcontractors to coordinate process standardization and resolve mutual concerns.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager in establishing new hiring processes and procedures for field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for personnel.
- Manage maintenance activities, including inspections and testing of systems.
- Oversee project completion to forecast in specific areas.
- Oversee the Safety Program and ensure all Safety Standards are met and maintained.
- Ensure field staff follow pertinent government regulations and contract documents.
- Assign field staffing to meet or exceed project timelines and budgets in conjunction with the Director of Production.
- Coordinate with the Tools/Equipment Manager regarding tools and inventory as required for projects.
- Manage the Production and Field Staffing Team for a specific area.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the field staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of supervisory experience in a similar facility, construction technology, methods, and equipment.
- High voltage installation experience is a must.
- Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Broad understanding of industry, specifically high voltage transmission, and substations.
- Demonstrates expertise in commercial electrical field management, design, and contracting.
