Cast Technician
We are looking for a dedicated cast technician to join our clinical staff. Your primary responsibility is to apply and remove splints and casts and fitting of durable medical equipment on patients.
To be successful in this role, you should have good physical stamina and excellent time-management skills. Top candidates will also be great communicators who can uplift patients with their presence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for applying and removing splints and casts.
- Fitting of durable medical equipment as needed.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient use of the cast saw.
- Maintains adequate splinting and casting supplies.
- Inspects and maintains autoclaves, cast saws and other equipment.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Responsible for patient brace/crutch fitting and product education.
- Provides patient education per provider protocol.
- Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards of the organization.
- Ensure certifications are current and up to date.
- Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the practice.

- Ability to relate well with physicians, patients of all ages and co-workers.
- Excellent communication skills.
Requirements:
Required
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Basic office skills
- Good communication skills and ability to deal with the public in a professional, courteous manner.
Preferred
- One year of medical experience preferred

Non-exempt. Generally non-exempt employees work 40 hours per week.
