Advanced Centrifugals Position:
Cast Operator Reports to: Leadman
Scope of Position:
Set-up and operation of die-cast spinning machines. Work utilizing the required safety equipment. Keep clean and organized casting deck. Perform duties in a positive and team-like manner. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor casting machines and equipment
- Ensure proper melting and pouring of molten metal into molds
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on casting equipment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report major problems to supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or casting environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material quantities
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and strong focus on quality
- Willingness to work in a factory environment with exposure to heat, noise, and metal materials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific casting processes (e.g., centrifugal casting)
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and tools
- Knowledge of metallurgy basics
- Certification in relevant manufacturing or safety programs
