Job Summary
Field Service Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, demolition and handling of hazardous materials while observing safety protocols (proACTive).
Accountabilities
- Conduct decontamination activities for equipment, facilities, and affected areas following established SOPs.
- Perform tank cleaning operations, including the use of high-pressure washing systems and specialized cleaning agents.
- Remove waste and debris from project sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines for proper disposal.
- Wear and work in various levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods, including respirators and full-body suits.
- Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently and safely, adhering to client and company standards.
- Monitor and report on-site conditions to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and management regarding progress, challenges, and outcomes of field service tasks.
- Support spill response and containment efforts, including cleanup and mitigation of environmental hazards.
- Participate in pre-job briefings and post-job evaluations to improve safety and performance on future projects.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by ACTenviro Supervisor and Management team.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends and extended hours as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Valid Driver’s License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical, and drug-screen
Education/Experience
- High school education or equivalent
- Willingness to take and pass the OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER Certification Training
