Responsibilities
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of HHW (Household Waste) Program Supervisors, with an emphasis on strategic planning, program implementation, and effective delegation. As the primary liaison between HHW customers and ACTenviro (ACT), the HHW PM ensures efficient communication and collaboration. The HHW PM holds ultimate accountability for the success of the HHW programs, ensuring that ACT meets and exceeds its contractual obligations for each account. Additionally, the HHW PM serves as the primary operations contact in support of the Strategic Account Manager.
- Ensure that health and safety remain the top priority by adhering to established policies and procedures, and consistently demonstrating safe practices in all actions
- Support HHW Supervisors in resolving job related issues such as billing, collections, customer issues and post-event follow-up
- Coordinate all aspects of HHW collection events
- Meet with customers to proactively resolve customer issues or complaints
- Maintain satisfactory customer relationship
- Ensure all work orders are complete for billing initiation to meet billing goals
- Serve as a liaison between the sales and operations teams, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment between the terms of budget and the execution of the project
- Develop strategies to maximize pricing and profitability
- Ensure work order information are met with resources by clearly communicating job needs to the Logistics Coordinator
- Oversee all functions and responsibilities of HHW Supervisors
- Attend all necessary meetings/virtual calls that may pertain to ACT’s execution of services
- Support HHW Supervisors with interviews, hires, and onboarding as necessary
- Attend all compliance and safety update meetings
- Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state and federal requirements
- Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
- Availability to work weekends and extended hours as needed
- Perform other assignments as given by management
Daily Activities
- Review, triage, and assign tasks required to satisfy contractual and program requirements with HHW Supervisors
Weekly Activities
- Review and approve HHW Staff timesheets
- Hold Operational Meetings with HHW Supervisors and provide summary to GM
- Attend GM lead Operations Meeting Monthly Activities
- Ensure all Work Orders are submitted for Laserfiche data entry for invoicing by month-end deadline
- Provide monthly report to the GM on current status of each HHW account
Qualifications
- Leadership experience
- Ability to interface with customers
- Attention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasks
- Financial management and/or logistics experience
- Working knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations, business development, revenue enhancement and market penetration
- Ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen, physical exam, and drug screen
- Valid Driver’s license
Skills and Experience
- Must have working knowledge of hazardous waste disposal and treatment methods
- Program Management experience (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Health and Safety conscious
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms such as Sugar or Salesforce.com
- A strong work ethic, a self-starter, manage multiple priorities and manage details
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in program management
- Proven stakeholder management skills
