We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client’s team as a Scientist I in San Carlos, CA. The Scientist I role will work on the purification of therapeutic antibody drug candidates from human and mouse immune repertoires. The successful candidate will provide downstream process development and material generation support within the company’s Process Development team. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development, optimize, and scale-up purification processes for biologics candidates to support early stage development
- Analyze and interpret data to drive technical understanding, meet project targets and objectives, problem solve, and make recommendations that drive efficiency, knowledge, and manage risk
- Collaborate closely with other functional areas involved in antibody therapeutics development, including upstream process development, analytical development, project management, and cross-functional partners
- Work effectively with external collaborators and CROs
- Coordinate activities with functional groups and project teams
- Discuss experiments and data to project team members
- Develop, write, and review standard operating protocols and other technical documents
- May act as a lead for assigned projects or team
- Mentor and train other technical staff
EXPERIENCE
4 years of related experience with a BS (2 years of experience with a Masters)
EDUCATION
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
