The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following:
- Oversee the painting operations for designated department(s) and shift.
- Assign jobs to appropriate personnel.
- Updates the schedule requirements to painters.
- Provide guidance to painters and general labor.
- Verify that painters / general labor are painting quality parts.
- Evaluate jobs for productivity.
- Promote and participate on continuous improvement teams.
- Stop production when quality issues are detected.
- Coordinate employee actions for subordinates to include evaluations, discipline, training, testing and career development.
- Participate in hiring new personnel and setting up training schedules.
- Manage and ensure safety policies and procedures are being followed and work directly with safety personnel as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment in a supervisor position.
- Comfortable and sufficient working within Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
- Background or experience working within the paint industry is preferred.
- Ability to lift up 50lbs. as needed and comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled environment.
