Position Summary:
The Blend Technician plays a key role in ensuring the preparation and inspection of intermediate and finished product blends necessary for processing. This includes, but is not limited to, additives, resin, rubber, and finished products. The Blend Technician is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all measurements and tracking raw material (finished goods) lot numbers. Key tasks also include pre- and post-blending, drying, and staging materials for transfer between locations. In addition, the technician may be asked to perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform all job functions safely while meeting productivity standards.
Maintain a team-oriented approach, while being self-motivated, dependable, and bringing a positive attitude to work each day.
Verify the accuracy of all materials for blending, ensuring they match the recipe and are free from contaminants.
Stage materials properly for intermediate blending, pre- and post-blending, and drying.
Prepare blends according to the schedule established by supervision, prioritizing tasks effectively.
Track inventory movements using a scanning system and complete all necessary control forms to maintain traceability.
Issue materials to jobs as needed, ensuring proper inventory transactions and adherence to JWI procedures for scanning and inventory control.
