In this role, you will be the first line of contact for our employees, providing essential support in candidate interviews, new hire orientation, attendance tracking, payroll support, and company event coordination. You will also back up the HR Generalist in investigations and ADA/FMLA/LOA management.
This is an on-site position, Work Hours are: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct candidate interviews and manage the pre-boarding and onboarding process.
- Plan and conduct in-person New Hire Orientation sessions.
- Handle routine inquiries related to policies and procedures.
- Conduct initial interviews for employee relations matters and inform appropriate HR staff for further investigation.
- Act as a backup for the HR Generalist in ADA/FMLA/LOA case administration.
- Administer Change Of Status form lifecycle with guidance from HR Management.
- Prepare HR reports such as attendance, perfect attendance, and referral bonuses.
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all employee and company information.
- Assist in coordinating company events such as Birthday Celebrations, Holiday Party, Summer Party, Veteran’s Day, and Blood Drives.
- Maintain HR Systems and Employee Records, ensuring data confidentiality.
- Support and provide backup when the HR Generalist is out of the office.
- Comply with all Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Laboratory management systems and policies.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional office administrative experience preferred, specifically in Human Resources.
- At least one year of professional human resources administration experience with employee relations and leave management.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certifications preferred but not required.
- Thorough knowledge of EEOC, DOL, State, and Federal Regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS Systems.
- Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential data with professionalism.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, deep perception, and ability to adjust focus.
