Communications Instructor and Technical SME

ACLC has a critical opening for Communications Instructor with previous experience with various communication and radio frequency systems. Work location is at the Joint Interoperability Tactical Data Links Training Center at Pope Army Airfield, NC.

Qualifications and Experience:

5-10 years of experience using, maintaining, and integrating tactical radios into DoD networks.

3-5 years of experience with operational procedures of crypto and crypto-related equipment.

Desired:

Previous experience in various radio terminal equipment applicable to Link 16/Multi-Tactical Data Link Network (MTN) operations is highly desired. This may include (but is not fully limited to) Class II terminal, MIDS Terminals, MIDS/LVT (II), MIDS/JTRS terminals.

Previous experience as an instructor and/or delivering formal instructional curriculum is desired but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, update, and maintain communications curriculum in support of JID-TC courses. This includes author lesson plans, instructor guides, student workbooks, practical exercises, student guides, and examinations.

Instruct various specified blocks of course material for JID-TC communication

subjects.

Integrate communications curriculum into course planning and scheduling. Support all JID-TC courses that require communications support and communication instruction.

Perform curriculum reviews, courseware development, and multimedia enhancements, especially in an electronic classroom.

Provide technical assistance and evaluation in identifying JID-TC communications needs and develop recommendations for the identification and procurement of communications equipment, services, and specialized training to support the requirements of the JID-TC.

Provide tactical communications instruction, planning, technical support, and subject matter expertise for the execution of JID-TC operations during scheduled supported Joint or Allied exercises.

Maintain maintenance status of communications equipment, cryptological devices, and communications software.

Assist and advise the military and JID-TC government civilians in providing Communications Security (COMSEC) support for JID-TC equipment as necessary.

Provide communications planning and support.

Administer and maintain the JID-TC mission assets with proper configurations, maintenance scheduling, bench testing, and pre-deployment testing.

Provide technical support and assistance to the JID-TC staff in the use of communications equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to effectively carry out all contract requirements. They shall have a command of both the written and spoken English language to communicate in person clearly, and effectively or in writing with contract employees and US Government personnel
• Possess a current, SECRET level personnel security clearance
• Minimum of 5 years of DoD experience
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
