About The Position
Hours : Part Time (24 hours per week). 8 : 30 AM PT start time. 8 hours Monday. 16 hours Tuesday - Thursday. Off on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Location : Carlsbad, CA
The Dispensing Pharmacist will ensure accurate and efficient prescription filling, and compliance with all State and Federal Pharmacy laws. In this document, “Pharmacy Leadership” includes Lead Pharmacists, COP, and Pharmacy Manager (PM).
Essential Functions
As ADS / USMED Pharmacist
- Must always have a copy of current, active CA Pharmacist license displayed in lobby.
- For nonresident PIC's, always provides a copy of current, active Pharmacist license of the non-resident state(s) to be displayed in lobby.
- Documents all actions and communications with patients, caregivers, coworkers, and prescriber offices into patient accounts, as appropriate.
- Thoroughly follows all departmental and company policies and procedures and instructions while using their professional judgement.
- Supervises Pharmacy Technician activities and other ancillary staff, ensuring everyone works professionally and within their job description and license status.
- For nonresident PIC's, at least twice a year documents reviews of new and changed Pharmacy laws / rules and notifies Chief of Pharmacy when these may affect processes at ADS.
- Avoids obstruction of a patient obtaining a prescription item that has been legally prescribed for the patient. If the Pharmacy Manager determines that the item may cause harm to the patient, then the prescriber will be contacted for alternative therapy or verify the current therapy will be safe for the patient.
- Completes all assigned company and department training, tests, reviews, projects, and other tasks in a timely manner and within time constraints.

Compensation Package
Pay ranges may vary depending on location. The general hourly range for this position is $69 - $71 per hour. Actual compensation depends on education, experience, and relevant skills. In addition, benefits include :
