Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems and the ability to work with hand tools and computer hardware. As an Installation Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment of our technology solutions in the field.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) at client locations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations efficiently and safely.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with existing installations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored system designs that meet their specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation of equipment.
- Telecommunicate with team members and clients to provide updates on project status or address any concerns.
- Assist in building and assembling computer hardware as required for specific installations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details and service reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in installing low voltage systems, preferably CCTV and IDS.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment for installations.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and their integration into security systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills for effective telecommunication with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel to various job sites.
