POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Configuration Management (CM) team your main responsibility will be to ensure the best CM process. The best CM process is one that can:
- Accommodate change, reuse of proven standards and best practices.
- Assure that all requirements remain clear, concise and valid.
- Communicate promptly and precisely.
- Assure that the results conform in each case.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fulfill configuration control requirements, processes and procedures as well as perform on going configuration audits.
- Works with other departments on continuous improvement of the Enterprise Change Order (ECO) process.
- Will play a key role with implementation and maintenance of PDM.
- Maintain all departmental quality documentation and various configuration management software applications.
- Day to day configuration support of products and product data.
- Enforce Copy Exact policy and any other applicable policies.
- Chairs the Change Implementation Board meetings to review ECO’s ensuring all aspects of implementation are reviewed. (If Applicable)
- Using Configuration Management guidelines coordinates the flow and completion of documentation associated with ECO’s and Deviations Reviews, tracks and ensures that Product changes are completed in a timely manner.
- Receives guidance and input from other CM team members.
- Assists other departments in facilitating Enterprise Change Orders.
- Works on Special Projects as required.
- Maintains ECO and product data archives.
- Releases original issues of product data.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, PC, copier, scanner, flat files, etc.).
- Overtime may be required.
- Works well with little supervision.
- Handles multiple priorities throughout the day.
- Works well with interruptions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent attention to detail specifically numbers.
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to adapt existing computer skill set to new computer programs.
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to use personal judgment to resolve problems with limited instruction.
- Ability to work effectively in a stressful or system-critical environment.
- Ability to work within a team environment while balancing multiple tasks.
- Ability to manage priorities and demonstrate a high level of initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 to 5 years experience in Configuration Management and related fields such as production planning, material control, records, and information management.
- Experience in creating and implementing processes for Configuration Management and other departments.
- Experience in coordinating different configuration control activities.
- Experience in working with multi-site support systems, processes and procedures.
- Experience in applying data security and quality assurance processes, procedures and audits.
- Authoring and implementing hardware and/or software configuration management plans.
- Costing ECO’s for scrap and rework.
- Documentation and engineering drawing control and distribution processes.
- Application of Logistic support and configuration data systems.
- Common office software applications:
- LAN and internal/external information network systems, including Internet and Intranet applications, SAP and Microsoft Office.
EDUCATION:
- CMII Certification or equivalent education and experience in related field
- Prefer College Level Education
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
