POSITION SUMMARY :Performs basic and routine electronic assembly operations and wiring on components or subassemblies. Assembles electronic components, sub-assemblies and chassis to meet production schedules and performance standards. Duties and tasks are standardized but what is performed will vary day to day.
RESPONSIBILITIES :Uses Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment and verbal / written instructions to assemble, modify, rework or re-assemble unitsWorks on assignments that are semi routine in natureThe ability to recognize nonconformities is requiredCommunicates openly and effectively in a professional mannerUnderstands and follows all safety requirementsUnderstands and follows ISO practices and proceduresMaintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenancePerforms wiringConsiders the impact of quality on the customers when making decisionsOther duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT :Works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of electronic assembly equipment. Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production or service repairs.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :Standing 40% approx.Walking 20% approx.Sitting 40% approx.Pushing 50 LBSPulling 50 LBSQUALIFICATIONS :Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functionsWiring skills are requiredAbility to perform basic electro / mechanical assembly skillsComponent identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation requiredBasic PC knowledgeKnowledge of SAP preferredAbility to effectively work in a team environmentConsiders the impact to quality when making decisionsEXPERIENCE :Experience in electro / mechanical assembly including wiring is requiredProven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environmentKnowledge and understanding of ESD practicesEDUCATION :High school education or equivalentCOMPENSATION :As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
