Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English As A Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of ESL students.
- Provide instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence.
- Utilize library services and resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support early intervention strategies for students requiring additional assistance.
- Mentor students in their academic journey, fostering a love for literacy education.
- Work with children, including those with autism, to create inclusive learning experiences.
- Conduct proofreading sessions to help students improve their written communication skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field; ESL certification preferred.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects individual differences.
- Passion for educating others and promoting literacy among all age groups.
- Experience working with children or adults in various capacities is beneficial.
