Job Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work at our busy Otolaryngology Practice.

Description

• Providing health promotion, prevention, and treatments to patients
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as, allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media
• Prescribing medications when needed to ensure patient health and well-being
• Examine patients, diagnose illnesses and provide treatment
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
• Gather health histories, perform physical examinations and diagnostic procedures
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Dictate and document all patient interactions
• Notify collaborating physician about unusual or unexpected events or problems
• Effectively communicate with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients, and familie

Requirements

• Must hold current license/registration to practice
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
• Ability to maintain highly confidential information
• Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Degree

Job responsibilities that will be learned through our training process includes:

• Performing flexible fiberoptic nasopharyngeal and laryngoscopy examinations
• Removal of nasal foreign bodies
• Evaluation and treatment of uncomplicated nasal infections, allergic rhinitis, epistaxis, and sinusitis
• Evaluation and treatment of pharyngitis, salivary gland infections
• Evaluation of hoarseness and dysphasia
• Evaluation of neck masses/lymph nodes with consultation
• Initiate requests for imaging studies, allergy testing, labs, etc.
• Order laboratory, diet, and medications as per protocol.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
