AEL Laboratories business hours are 8 AM – 5 PM, with operational hours to include 7 AM - 7 PM Monday through Friday. Peak times could require to work 7 days a week, including holidays when needed.
We are currently looking for an Inorganics Analyst at our Tallahassee, FL, laboratory. This is a part-time position (no benefits). Please note: The schedule for this position will be discussed with lab manager during interview. See instructions below on how to apply for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a Science field, preferably Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry.
- Experience working in an environmental laboratory, certified by NELAC / TNI or equivalent testing water and soil using EPA methods.
- If no degree, then must have over five years’ above experience
Rate: $16-18 p/h. Pay rate will be discussed at interview and is based on a variety of factors, therefore the range is solely for reference.
Position Description:
This position analyzes soils, sludges, drinking water, wastewater, industrial discharges, surface water, and storm water samples in accordance with state and federal safe drinking water laws, the clean water act, and laboratory protocols, regulations and standards for a large municipal utility. Perform testing for assigned analysis methods in accordance with AEL SOPs and regulatory agency standards as well as client specifications. Testing may include pesticides, EDBs, PCBs, FL PRO, BNAs, and PAHs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Horizon LIMS, Shimadzu GC/MS and PerkinElmer GC
- Experience performing extractions for some but not all of the following test methods is a plus: 8011, 8270, 8081, 8082, 625, 608, and FL PRO
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Math skills
- Computer skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work with accuracy
