Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Full-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing patient-centered, whole-person care in a collaborative practice setting. This role involves managing and coordinating the care of established patients and walk-ins, providing comprehensive primary care services, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Patient Care:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory studies and imaging.
- Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications.
- Provide preventive care, including immunizations and health screenings.
- Educate patients on health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Manage and coordinate the care of established patients and walk-ins.
- Perform minor procedures, such as wound care, injections, and biopsies.
- Provide care for all ages of patients.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the supervising D.O. and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Administrative Duties:
- Complete accurate and timely medical records.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Missouri, or able to obtain one prior to the first day of employment.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Experience in a primary care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
