We are seeking a versatile Part-Time Hybrid Medical Assistant who will split responsibilities between both back office and front office duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical and administrative setting while maintaining excellent patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Back Office Duties:
- Surgery Scheduling
- Perform patient intake, including obtaining vital signs and medical history
- Manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system efficiently and accurately
- Assist with in-office procedures and minor surgeries
- Handle scheduling for patient appointments and follow-ups as needed
- Answer and manage phone calls, relaying messages and assisting patients as needed
- Maintain thorough charting and documentation in compliance with medical standards
- Dispense DME (Durable Medical Equipment) and educate patients on usage
- Process prescriptions and e-scribing per physician instructions
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring supplies are stocked and ordered as needed
- Provide comprehensive physician support, anticipating needs to enhance workflow
Front Office Duties:
- Check-in & check-out patients, ensuring accurate collection of information and payments
- Verify insurance coverage and update patient records accordingly
- Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to patients and providers
- Process prior authorizations and referrals as needed
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Maintain organization and efficiency at the front desk to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Medical Assistant Certification (Preferred but not required)
- Experience in both clinical and administrative medical settings - *willing to train the right candidate in front office duties, if not experienced
- Proficiency in EMR systems and general computer skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to self-govern, take initiative, and proactively manage tasks
- Go-getter attitude with a take-charge mentality
- Demonstrates kindness, compassion, integrity, and honesty
- Excellent communication skills with both patients and medical staff
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and administrative tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
