Electrical Helper

Overview
Advanced Fueling Systems, LLC (AFS) of Ashland, VA is seeking a dedicated Electrical Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist electricians in various tasks related to electrical installations, modifications and repairs of petroleum related electrical systems in both commercial and industrial settings. This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in the electrical field, working alongside experienced professionals while contributing to exciting projects.

Duties

• Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
• Support the setup of low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC standards.
• Participate in frame carpentry tasks as needed for electrical installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience as a commercial or industrial electrician helper is preferred; petroleum electrical experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Understanding of low voltage systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC) is advantageous.
• Experience working on construction sites is a plus, demonstrating an ability to adapt to various work environments.
• A strong willingness to learn and develop skills within the electrical trade.

Ability to work out of town (VA, MD, NC) Monday-Friday, if required.

Required License or Certification

• Driver's License/Reliable Transportation to and from Office
• Electrical Courses are a plus, but are not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
