What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Coordinator and Van Driver position at Advanced Health Care of Coeur d'Alene?
The weekend maintenance and van driver position is responsible for the oversight of the buildings' maintenance, preventative maintenance schedules, and general upkeep of the property. This person will also be respnsible for picking up any new patients from the hospitals that are admitted into the facility as needed.
We are hiring an individual that has the ability to work well with co-workers, residents and resident families.
Monday-Friday 20 hours a week
Job Responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to the following:
- Picking up new patients from the hospitals as needed.
- Preventative Maintenance schedules for HVAC systems, Water heaters, Water softeners, Waterless tanks and Monthly Safety Meetings and Inspections.
- Strong Preping and Painting skills.
- Room turns as residents move in and out.
- Installing safety devices for Residents.
- Managing vendors and help with items such as landscaping, snow removal, annual inspections, Pest Control.
- Servicing the facility vans and making sure it is safe to drive at all times.
- Daily routine of walking inside and outside the facility to ensure trash is picked up and any exterior entrances are free of debris.
- Conduct fire disaster drills per state regulations, monthly quarterly and semi annually.
- Make sure all chemicals in the facility are safe and secure at all times. Also make sure the MSDS binder is updated in the housekeeping closets and in the kitchen.
- Make sure all other equipment is safely stored and maintained.
- Work with all departments to ensure there is a monthly safety meeting each month.
- Attend daily stand up meetings and manage the maintenance log for the facility.
Qualifications /Skills
- Need to be able to pass a Background Check upon hire.
- Willing to get a TB test or show proof that you have received one in the last 6 months.
- No prior Felonies
- Effectively communicate when working with and around co-workers, residents and family members.
- Experience with painting, plumbing, flooring repairs, and other general journeyman skills are a must.
- CPR or Life safety certificates are recommended but not required
