What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Duty Nursing (LPN/RN): TEMPORARY position at Advanced Home Health Care?
******Advanced Home Health Care is currently looking for a LPN or RN interested in working with one of our pediatric patients in their home and assisting with providing nursing care while at school during the week days. This is a temporary position, which will last 6-12 weeks. This patient is located in the Fort Madison, Iowa area and the week days hours are 7:15am-4:45pm, Monday through Friday.

PRIVATE DUTY NURSE FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
The licensed practical nurse (LPN) works under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager. The LPN provides nursing from acute to chronically ill clients working private-duty with our Pediatric Clients in their home utilizing nursing principles that recognize the psycho-social, cultural, and personal health factors that affect the individual's health status.
We support many parents and families who need nursing care at home. You develop relationships with the patient and the family while providing convenience and comfort for the family too.

- Provide nursing interventions to meet stated clients care objectives.
- Provide and document nursing care as ordered for clients.
- Administer medications and treatments only as ordered by the client's attending physician and as written in the plan of care.
EXPERIENCE
- New graduates accepted.
- Must possess a current Iowa license to practice nursing.
- A current CPR certification is required or can be obtained before starting.
