What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Specialist position at Advanced Hospice?
· Assumes responsibility for overseeing, implementing, and developing the Medical Records Department for the Branch.
· Assumes responsibility for overseeing, developing and implementing proper maintenance of medical records, to ensure confidentiality of patient information and adherence to all applicable Federal, State and Local laws/regulations, as well as accrediting body standards.
· Develop and implement proper systems to ensure organization and timely retrieval of necessary documentation.
· Assumes responsibility for the proper processing of all signed and unsigned orders and ensures inclusion with appropriate location.
· Assist to facilitate empathetic accountability of staff, inclusive of assisting with performance evaluations on staff in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. Attentive follow-up with staff to ensure assigned goals are being met in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
· Sets standard for staff members by displaying organizational values, work ethic, persistence, follow-through, listening skills, oral/written communication skills, integrity, honesty and follow-through of goals and objectives.
· Ensures efficiency of execution of organization mission, vision, values and strategies.
· Assists with the orientation of new employees at the Branch, as requested.
· Work closely with Branch Director and all other relevant staff members, to ensure the proper delivery of applicable services.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
