Key Responsibilities :
- Assess procurement needs and develop a clear strategy for purchasing goods and services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings in terms of quality, price, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain the best terms of purchase, including discounts, shipping, and payment terms.
- Maintain robust relationships with suppliers and manage vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as production, finance, and logistics departments to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business goals.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stocks as needed while avoiding excess or insufficient inventory.
- Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, and regulatory requirements in the purchasing process.
- Review and process purchase requisitions, converting them into purchase orders.
- Track orders and confirm system lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
- Reconcile invoices and forward them for payment.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all purchasing activities, including procurement requests, purchase orders, and spending analyses.
