Responsibilities
- Structural Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of aircraft structures according to maintenance manuals and regulatory standards
- Repair and Modification: Execute repairs and modifications on aircraft structural components using approved techniques and materials
- Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install structural components and systems on aircraft, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering drawings
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications performed, complying with regulatory requirements
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines during all tasks and operations
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and other personnel to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality aircraft maintenance
- Completes any or all structural rework/repair, squawks, and E.O.'s
- Perform work of the level described herein, interpret complex blueprints and use arithmetic involving decimals and fractions
- Must be able to utilize computer-based systems to perform duties
- May be required to work in a confined space
- Use arithmetic involving decimals and fractions. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
- Must be able to utilize computer-based systems to perform duties
- Fabricate detail parts from blueprint or engineering instructions
- 5 years of Structures experience with wide-body aircraft required
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft structures and relative tasks
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- US citizenship or authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing to travel as required
- Must be willing/able to work any shift or schedule
- Structural Mechanics repair aircraft primary and secondary structure in accordance with OEM repair data or engineering drawings
