This position reports to the Strategic Purchasing Supervisor and is directly responsible for assisting in locating, purchasing, tracking and record keeping related to auto parts samples. This position will receive order requests from the product management or quality control teams and fulfill them while updating the requestor with expected ETAs and delivery confirmations.
KEY FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION

KEY FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION
Search for availability and pricing against established guidelines.
Place orders.
Log the arrival of all parts and notify appropriate team.
Build packing list from order tracking data and feedback from Development Team.
Order parts from local auto parts stores when needed for testing or fleet maintenance purposes.
Organize and receive invoices from local part stores and online purchases for record keeping.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be very knowledgeable regarding automobile makes, models, sub models, drive types, engine sizes, transmission types, and other catalog attributes.
Experience in auto industry retail catalog searching.
Experience with looking up OEM or OES parts on dealer sites.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to meet deadlines while working independently.
Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and telephone etiquette.
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiency
Enthusiastic and proactive team player
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED
Auto parts sales or installation experience
Experience utilizing dealer service or parts counter systems
Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Automotive technology education
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
