FLSA: Full-time, Non-Exempt (Contingent on Contract Award)

Position Overview
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II position at West Jordan, UT. supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract.
Responsibilities / Duties
U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance (active or eligible)
HS Diploma (AA Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial
work experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components desired
Experience with electronics and computer testing/troubleshooting
Will consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, certifications and/or professional
experience)
Able to successfully pass a background check
Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges
Must be able to gain access to military installation

Position Overview

Responsibilities / Duties
- Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting. manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
- Perform inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines
- Enter work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system.
- Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems
- May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians’ work
- Ensure that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance
- Travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS may be required
- Other duties may be assigned.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- AS/AAS Degree in computers, electronics, or engineering. (Experience Equivalent to Degree)
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments to include – Windows NT, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Red Hat Linux
- CompTIA A , Network or Linux highly sought
- Proficiency with a Digital Multi-Meter and other test equipment and software
- Comfortable working in a team or independently
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Requires the ability to climb up, down and beneath full-size helicopter training devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Able to move between hangers on foot to access the training devices
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work within confined spaces as necessary
