Position Overview
Responsible for the management of specific programs, working with Senior Program Managers & with multiple functional areas. The Program Coordinator will lead and / or assist in the planning, implementation of projects for new and current contracts. Will also be responsible for coordinating program execution with OCONUS Program Management Office (PMO) and / or Engineering personnel.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; develop methods to monitor program and progress;
- Responsible for assembling the program staff; for their technical or functional development, performance, and / or termination during the program.
- Manage program and resource allocation.
- Facilitate the definition of service levels and customer requirements. Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery. Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to senior management. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
- Present oral and written reports, defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
- Review goals, accomplishments, and overall team performance at key stages.
- Able to recognize the client and what are the client’s needs : provide realistic expectations; establish specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitor client satisfaction.
- Develop improvements and innovations to enhance performance.
- Ensure that project status, issues and successes are communicated to the program team, customer and all levels of management and documented appropriately.
- Anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change.
- Set and meet realistic deadlines. Forecast changes and communicate current and projected issues.
