Job Overview:
A well-established private nephrology practice in the Omaha Metropolitan area, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Nephrologist to join our growing team. This position offers a diverse mix of outpatient clinic, hospital coverage, and dialysis rounds, with additional outreach clinic opportunities. While not required, interventional nephrology training is preferred. The ideal candidate is a motivated and compassionate physician looking to establish a long-term career in private practice. Partnership potential is available.
Practice Highlights:
- Independent private practice with a strong referral network
- Comprehensive nephrology care in multiple settings, including:
- Outpatient clinics (including outreach locations)
- Inpatient hospital rounds & coverage with acute dialysis (HD, PD, CRRT)
- In-center and home dialysis (PD & HHD)
- Inpatient and outpatient dialysis access management (fistulagrams, PD catheter placements, tunneled CVC placements)
- Well-established dialysis partnerships and collaborative hospital affiliations
- Experienced support staff and resources to optimize workflow
- Interventional nephrology opportunities available
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, dialysis needs, and post-transplant care
- Provide hospital-based nephrology consultation and coordinate inpatient care
- Conduct dialysis rounds and oversee patient management at multiple dialysis centers
- Participate in outreach clinics to expand patient access to specialized care
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Nephrology
- Eligible for Iowa and Nebraska medical licensure
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Interest in long-term private practice growth and potential partnership
