Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic nephrology team. This role involves a mix of hospital rounding, outpatient clinic visits, and dialysis unit rounding. You will work closely with our physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and end-stage renal disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hospital rounds and help nephrologists manage inpatient nephrology consults
- Evaluate and manage patients in our outpatient nephrology clinic
- Provide ongoing care and monitoring in dialysis centers
- Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Educate patients and families about kidney disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle changes
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (APRN) in Nebraska and Iowa
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult, Family, or Acute Care
- Previous nephrology experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
