This stable and growing company, located in Indianapolis, IN, has served as a key player in the industry for nearly 60 years providing for the mining, food production plants, and manufacturing industries. Their 13 person and 20 machine shop is dedicated to excellence with the latest, state of the art machinery being installed (and more machines to come!) including 3-5 axis mills, lathes with live tooling, and more.
In this role, you will take parts from cradle to grave, programming at the machine on MasterCAM, setting up, and operating 3 axis mills.
Working hours are on a 1st shift starting at 7 AM with some overtime. Benefits include PTO, medical reimbursement, and 401k.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate mill, lathe, and other machines as needed
- Program parts at the machine on MasterCAM
- Perform 1st article inspection
- Troubleshoot problems with the machine or program
Qualifications
- Experience setting up and operating 3 axis mills and/or lathes with live tooling
- Experience programming parts on MasterCAM
- Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, indicators, and the like)
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Strong desire to learn and grow with the company!
- TIG Welding is a plus!
