Plant Engineer & Maintenance Lead

Reports to: Director of Operations
Job Summary:
A Plant Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of a manufacturing facility. They are responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining the plant's equipment, machinery, and systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new equipment, machinery, and systems for the plant.
- Install and test new equipment and systems to ensure they meet the plant's specifications.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the plant's equipment and machinery.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns.
- Analyze production and maintenance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with other engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Manage projects and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Manage budgets for equipment, maintenance, and projects.

- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other engineering software tools.
Education & Experience:
Education and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in plant engineering or maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
