Job Summary:
As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating visual disorders and eye diseases. You will provide comprehensive eye care services, educate patients on vision health, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Examination:** Conduct thorough eye examinations using standard optometric procedures, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and tonometry.
Diagnosis and Treatment:** Diagnose and manage a range of ocular conditions, including refractive errors, eye diseases (e.g., glaucoma, cataracts), and other vision-related issues.
Prescriptions:** Provide accurate prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, ensuring the best possible vision correction for patients.
Patient Education:** Educate patients on eye health, the importance of regular eye exams, and proper contact lens care and usage.
Follow-Up Care:** Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Schedule follow-up appointments to ensure ongoing care and management of conditions.
Collaboration:** Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to coordinate patient care and referrals.
Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including examination findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient communications.
Technology Utilization:** Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and technology to aid in the examination and treatment of patients.

Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
Valid state optometry license.
