THE PERSON:
We’re looking for an experienced technical leader to drive key customer engineering projects. In this strategic role, you’ll guide the transition from legacy systems to advanced AMD EPYC-based solutions, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and security. A deep understanding of processor microarchitecture, virtualization technologies, and software (including compilers, libraries and profilers) is essential, along with strong coding skills. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, technical expertise, and a successful track record in migrating and optimizing complex applications across architectures.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years of engineering experience, with 5 years in leading application optimization
- In-depth knowledge of x86 architecture
- Hands-on experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
- Strong expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization platforms like Kubernetes and Docker
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages (e.g., C, C , Python
PREFERRED ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Master’s in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
